    Adjectives

Adjectives are words that describe a noun.  Help children learn to increase their descriptive skills with our unique worksheets that allow not only for writing but drawing as well.  Why include drawing?  Writing limits many young learners who haven't quite developed the dexterity or spelling skills needed to keep up with their thoughts.  Writing isn't always necessary to show proof of understanding.  I'm sure Socrates and Charlotte Mason would agree with this statement whole heartedly.

    Helpful Tips:

    • These sheets are perfect for daily use or for monthly or unit review and kids really like them because they look so non-threatening and "easy" to confidently complete.  Might we suggest covering them with clear contact paper or laminating them for easy repeated use.  We use our heat laminator quite a bit and have found that crayons, washable markers and dry-erase pens all work well for repeated use.

    • Consider laminating sheets back to back and then binding them with a comb-binder or even a three-ring binder or duo-tang.  We make up quite a few pages at once and just let our kids pick which ones they want to do out of the book.  We try to give our learners as much "guided" independence as possible.  I has been our experience that when kids have a little bit of ownership and choice in material selection, they are generally more willing to develop new skills and are happier completing learning activities.
