Set 11 of Aesop's Fables Montessori Cards
Playing, reading and moral training don't usually go together, but they do in the case of our Aesop's Fables Montessori cards.
Use these cards to help children explore, ponder, and remember all the great moral teachings from Aesop in The Aesop for Children, Illustrated by Milo Winter. Montessori cards help to solidify facts and lessons for learners through fun pictorial review or simple reading of cards.
This colorful Montessori card set features six individual cards highlighting illustrations from different Aesop’s fables as created by Milo Winter. This resource is one of eighteen similar sets we offer to highlight the fables in this collection of short stories to teach morals and virtues to children (and adults) of all ages. Cards have an illustration from the fable and state the moral of each story. Cards do not name the fable, but rather simply the moral so that the cards can be used for memory recall, narration, writing prompts, review and so much more.
Prepare these cards by printing them out and cutting them apart. For extended use, print on heavy card or cover stock. Print out two sets to create additional learning opportunities for multiple learners too!
Additional resources for this book are also available for download. These cards do not need to be used specifically with the work suggested above. They can be used individually or as a complement to any lesson or unit study.
Highlighted fables in this set include: The Goatherd and the Wild Goats, The Spendthrift and the Swallow, The Astrologer, Three Bullocks and A Lion, Mercury and the Woodman, The Frog and the Mouse.
