Kids Can Learn About What God Created with the Days of Creation Montessori Match-Up Game.
Encourage young Catholics to learn what God provided during the week of Creation by playing the Days of Creation Montessori Match-Up Game. This tangible paper game is a fun resource for a single learner, pair of students, or small-group play.
How to Use the Days of Creation Montessori Match-Up Game
First, prepare the playing pieces by cutting them apart on the dotted lines. Then, mix the parts up. Next, have learners match the title of the day to a representative image and a short explanation. Only the main ideas are presented for the days as they appear in Scripture (Genesis 1:1-31). Some children may benefit from a reminder that God rested from all of His work on the seventh day (Genesis 2:2-3). Very young users may enjoy a simpler play, which focuses on matching the ordinal word (title piece) with the correct image.
Students can easily use the included control card (answer key) to check their play and help foster independent learning. An instruction sheet with scriptural references is provided for instructors as well.
