Divine Praises Prayer Learning Card

Help Young Catholics Learn a Way to Adore the Lord with the Divine Praises Prayer Learning Card.

The Divine Praises Prayer Learning Card can help children become familiar with this traditional prayer used after Benediction during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Originally written by Fr. Luigi Felici in 1797, every line of this prayer begins with Blessed Be. He wrote it as a reparation for the sin of blasphemy against the Divine, including God, the Blessed Virgin Mary, the angels, and the saints. Each card features clear text and simple artwork, which some learners may enjoy coloring.

How to Create the Divine Praises Prayer Learning Card

First, print out the file; there will be two identical cards per page. Next, cut the sheet in half where indicated. Finally, fold the piece on the dotted lines and glue to complete. Trim close to the perimeter lines if desired. The cards may be laminated for longevity and a polished appearance.

It may be useful to have students learn or pray this prayer in January, which is the month that honors the Holy Name of Jesus.  A Divine Praises Prayer Reference Sheet is also available.
