Encourage Catholic Children to Learn About Humility in Prayer.
Help young children to remember that a humble heart is necessary when we pray to God. It is inspired by the Parable of the Pharisee and the Publican in the Gospel of St. Luke 18:9-14. The medal features a young man who is focusing on something with a telescope and the phrase, "Be humble! Focus on God!"
Each page contains two identical medals one in color and the other in black-and-white, which may be colored by the students. Simply cut the medallions out, punch a hole at the top where indicated and thread the hole with a piece of yarn. Write the name of the recipient in the space provided.
This lesson is very appropriate to use during a lesson on prayer, having a humble heart, or the Parable of the Pharisee and the Publican.
