Get the Gospel Trading Card on How to Love an Enemy

Teach Young Catholics That We Are Called to Love an Enemy.

Encourage children to understand that we are all one family in Christ. This little card uses an image of a child carrying a "No Bullying" sign and provides simple ways to help us to love others - even those who do not like us. It is inspired by Christ's teaching in the Gospel of St. Matthew 5:38-48.

The card presents the following details:

-Remember that people might be mean because they need love.
-Pray for them.
-Look for their positive qualities.
-Offer a simple smile or a wave.
-Offer encouragement.
-Include them in play or other activities.
-Give a small card or gift for a birthday or holiday.

This resource features four identical cards per sheet. Make the cards by cutting them apart on the solid lines and folding them on the dotted lines. Glue flaps together to close. Laminate finished pieces for longevity and a very polished look.

This printable may be helpful and appropriate to use when teaching about loving others, bullying, or celebrating the Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle A).
