Help Children Learn How to Show Fear of the Lord.

This colorful printable has four identical cards per sheet. The card contains a how-to list of helpful ways to assist children in learning how to show fear of the Lord (awe-filled love and respect) inspired by Mark 9:1-9 - the Transfiguration.

To create the cards, simply print off the sheet, cut apart the cards, fold on the dotted line, glue to finish. Cards may be laminated for a polished look, if desired.

The text of this card includes the following:

-Genuflect when you pass in front of Jesus in the tabernacle.
-Treat God’s Word with respect. Do not put the Bible on the floor or place other things on it.
-Use God’s name with respect - never as a swear word!
-Bless yourself with holy water and make the Sign of the Cross when you enter a Catholic church.

This card matches the gospel reading for the 2nd Sunday in Lent in liturgical cycle B. This card may also be useful when learning about the Transfiguration, the Fourth Luminous Mystery of the Holy Rosary.
