Happy Birthday, Catholic Church Paper Medallion
Encourage Catholic Children to Celebrate Pentecost, the Birthday of the Catholic Church.
Help young children to remember that Pentecost is the birthday of the Catholic Church. It is inspired by the Descent of the Holy Spirit in the Gospel of St. John 14:15-16, 23-26. The medal features a fancy birthday cake and the phrase, "Happy Birthday, Catholic Church!"
Each page contains two identical medals one in color and the other in black-and-white, which may be colored by the students. Simply cut the medallions out, punch a hole at the top where indicated and thread the hole with a piece of yarn. Write the name of the recipient in the space provided.
This lesson is very appropriate to use during a lesson on Pentecost, the Third Glorious Mystery of the Holy Rosary, or the birth of the Catholic Church.
