Help Christians to Remember That They Are Called to Discipleship with the Lead Others to Christ Letter Scramble Game.
The Lead Others to Christ Letter Scramble Game builds language arts skills and encourages evangelization or sharing our love of Christ with others. In John 1:35-42, Jesus invites us to "come and see" Him for ourselves, but His invitation doesn't stop there. As Christians, we are also called to happily imitate St. Andrew and bring others to see and meet Jesus as well. When we are joyful, we tell people that we love God, have faith in all that He has promised us, and have hope.
How to Use the Lead Others to Christ Letter Scramble Game
Cut out the letter pieces on the dotted lines. Begin by arranging the pieces to spell the words: "Lead Others to Christ." Ask players to make as many words of two or more letters using only the letters provided in the phrase. Children may tangibly rearrange the pieces, or they may choose to use them merely for visual reference.
A notation sheet is provided for older players to track the words they produce. This file includes a sample answer sheet as well.
Although this game encourages word and spelling recognition, it can also be a fun and beneficial game to play when learning about the evangelization or discipleship.
This game is one small part of That Weekly Liturgy Lesson for Kids - Second Sunday of Ordinary Time (Cycle B).
