Teach Children About the First Easter.

Help children become familiar with the first Easter using our mobile lesson that focuses on five different symbols and the Gospel reading from Mark 16:1-8.

The mobile has five hanging pieces for children to color, one to represent the empty tomb, the Cross, the angel from the tomb, the lamb (Jesus is the lamb of God), and the egg (the symbol of new life). The teacher should provide an explanation for each of the symbols as children prepare the individual pieces. A small discussion about Easter should be led by the instructor during or following the activity. The teacher may opt to read the suggested passage from the Bible.

The pieces contain a simplified explanation for each symbol as well as a matching image to provide visual reinforcement. Scripture references are provided on each piece.

Complete assembly instructions are provided in the file.

This resource is also available in a color version as seen below.
