My Pastor Leads Me to Jesus Paper Medallion
Encourage Catholic Children to Learn that the Church Helps Us to Follow Jesus.
Help young children to remember that the job of the pastor is to lead and guide his parish in following Jesus Christ. It is inspired by Christ's teaching that He is the door to eternal life in the Gospel of St. John 10-10. The medal features a smiling priest and the phrase, "My Pastor Leads Me to Jesus!"
Each page contains two identical medals one in color and the other in black-and-white, which may be colored by the students. Simply cut the medallions out, punch a hole at the top where indicated and thread the hole with a piece of yarn. Write the name of the recipient in the space provided.
This lesson is very appropriate to use during a lesson on the priesthood, the role of a pastor, vocations, the Church, or Christ's teaching that He is the door to eternal life.
