Help Introduce Diagramming Sentences to Young Children
This worksheet provides six opportunities for learners to diagram any simple sentence. The sentence shall be written to answer the following prompts.
Noun (subject)?
Verb (predicate)?
For example: The boy tied his shoelaces.
(Noun?) The boy (Verb?) tied his shoelaces.
A title is provided for the topic of the sentences - this could be a date, subject, story title, etc.
This exercise works very well as an introduction to diagramming sentences using terms that learners may already be familiar with.
