Predicate?

For example, the boy tied his shoelaces.

(Subject?) The boy  (Predicate?) tied his shoelaces.

A title is provided for the topic of the sentences - this could be a date, subject, story title, etc.

This exercise works well as an introduction to diagramming sentences using terms that learners may already be familiar with.
