Take Time to Rest Each Day Chart Set

Help Kids Focus on Being Flexible by Using the Take Time to Rest Each Day Chart Set.

Use our Take Time to Rest Each Day Chart Set to help kids learn about the need for relaxation and flexibility. This activity encourages them to develop strategies to reduce stress and anxiety.

This cute chart features a girl who can't seem to fall asleep because she isn't able to relax. The Gospel of St. Mark 6:30-34 is the inspiration for this Take Time to Rest Each Day Chart Set when the Apostles return from their mission. Jesus takes them to retreat for a bit because it has been so busy. It reminds us that when we rest, we can relax. We also can think better and be ready to help and serve others.

How to Use the Take Time to Rest Each Day Chart Set

First, distribute the chart, which comes in two-week or one-month versions. Next, encourage kids to think of ways to slow down and relax daily. (There are a few ideas given on the chart.) Then, as children practice being flexible or destressing, they note it on the chart either with a short word description, tallies, or a mark of some sort such as a check or star.
