Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Use this unit study to help teach children the Parable of the Unjust Steward and that we must be faithful in all that we do. This lesson is based on the Gospel of St. Luke 16:1-13.
This week’s Gospel teaches us to be faithful in all that we do. We must be honest in our dealings with others and know that God rewards the faithful. The parable of the unjust steward reminds us that when we are dishonest in small things, we may also be disposed to be unjust in larger matters as well. Children can learn that they can be faithful in their love of God, use of money, as well as in making promises and being obedient to those who care about them.
