Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the 2nd Sunday in Lent.

Use this unit study to help teach children about the Transfiguration and that Jesus invites us to follow Him in our daily lives. This lesson is based on Luke 9:28-36.

In this week’s Gospel, Jesus is transfigured in the presence of  His apostles Peter, James, and John.  This passage reminds us of Christ’s true divinity as the Son of God.  Even though we cannot see Jesus in a human form with our own eyes, Christ still wants us to seek and find Him in our daily lives.  We must search for and recognize God’s love and presence in our everyday lives.
