That Weekly Liturgy Lesson for Kids - 15th Sunday of Ordinary Time (Cycle C) Can Help Kids Learn About Loving Our Neighbor.
Use That Weekly Liturgy Lesson for Kids - 15th Sunday of Ordinary Time (Cycle C) to help teach children that the name of Jesus is powerful. This lesson's inspiration was the Gospel of St. Luke 10:25-37 when Christ tells the parable of the Good Samaritan.
This lesson reminds us about the greatest commandment and how to carry it out in love for our neighbor. As Christ tells the parable of the Good Samaritan, He reminds us that our neighbor is anyone who is in need. As followers of Christ, we are bound in charity to love God and those in need of us in some way. We can do this in many ways. With the Good Samaritan as our example, we can do such things as provide a listening ear, physical assistance, friendship, transportation, or even financial assistance. We must also understand that our call to love should have a sense of urgency and show compassion and mercy to others even when inconvenient or unplanned. Charity is the supreme virtue.
