Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time.

Use this unit study to help teach children about the meeting of Jesus and Zacchaeus and that Jesus came to save all sinners.  This lesson is based on the Gospel of St. Luke 19:1-10.

This week’s Gospel teaches us that Jesus came to save all sinners. The meeting of Christ and Zacchaeus helps us see that although every person is capable of sinning, they are also able to change when they seek out Christ. Jesus makes it clear in His own words, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
