Focus on the Sunday Gospel Celebrate the 7th Sunday in Easter.

Use this unit study to help teach children that prayer focuses on love and trust in God.  It is based on the Gospel of St. John 17:1-11.

In this week’s Gospel, Jesus shows us that not only should we speak to our heavenly Father, but when we do so we must stay focused during our conversation with Him.  We should have love in our hearts and confidence in Him.  Today’s modern world can make staying focused in prayer a real challenge.  Christ shows us that keeping what is truly important at the forefront of our conversation with the Father, can yield beautiful and loving results.
