Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the Solemnity of the Epiphany.

Use this unit study to help teach children about the Epiphany and that all gifts should be given and received with love. This lesson is based on Matthew 2:1-12.

In this week’s Gospel, we witness the visit of the Magi, the Wise Men, with the Holy Family in Bethlehem. Their journey of following a bright, shining star to the home of the Christ Child shows dedication, courage, and love. This beautiful event is called the Epiphany, and it proclaims that Jesus is the Savior of the world who is to be made known to all people.

This fun unit study is suited for a CCD or Religious Education class. It may also be used for Sunday School programs or as homeschool materials.
