Help children become familiar with different vocations, including the priesthood, religious life, marriage, and single life.
This cut-and-paste activity may be used as a lesson to introduce students to the topic of vocations, or it can serve as a tool for review. The mobile has four hanging pieces, one to represent the priesthood, religious life, married life, and single life. The teacher should provide an explanation for each of the vocations as children prepare the individual pieces. A small discussion about vocations should be led by the instructor during or following the activity.
The pieces contain a simplified explanation for each vocation as well as a matching color image to provide visual reinforcement. References to the Catechism of the Catholic Church are provided on each piece.
Complete assembly instructions are provided in the file.
This activity can be used when studying the Parable of the vineyard owner and the workers as presented in Matthew 22:1-14.
