Weekly Liturgy Lesson - 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle A)
Help Kids Relate to the Gospel with That Weekly Liturgy Lesson - 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle A).
Use this unit study to help teach children about forgiveness. It is based on Christ's lesson about forgiving others in the Gospel of St. Matthew 18:21-35.
This lesson helps us to know Christ's expectations for forgiving those who hurt us. Jesus is the best example of forgiveness the world has ever known. For as He was dying on the cross, he forgave the people who crucified Him. Like Christ, we too should be an example to others and forgive them when they hurt us. When questioned by the St. Peter about how many times someone should forgive a person who hurts them, the Lord says in Matthew 18:22, "I say not to thee, Till seven times; but till seventy times seven times."
This fun unit study is suited for a CCD or Religious Education class, and it may also be used for Sunday School programs or as homeschool materials.
