Our Weekly Liturgy Lesson - 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle B) Can Help Kids to Focus on the Gospel.
Use this Weekly Liturgy Lesson - 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle B) unit study to help teach children that Jesus is the Christ, "the anointed one." This lesson is based on Mark 8:27-35.
In this week’s Gospel, Jesus asks His disciples the question: “Who do you say that I am?” Although the crowds that have seen or heard Jesus are not sure who He may be, St. Peter identifies Jesus as the Christ, “the anointed one.” It is good for us to know multiple names and titles for Christ, but we must also know about Him as well as His mission. In this way, we can tell and teach others about Jesus Christ.
