Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time.

Use this unit study to help teach children that keeping one's word is very important. It is based on Christ's parable of the Workers in the Vineyard in the Gospel of St. Matthew 20:1-16.

This lesson helps us to know that when we give our word to someone or make a promise to them, we create a bond with that person. It is very important to keep our commitment to them, even when it seems too hard, inconvenient, or doesn’t appear fair to us in some way. We must put our intentions into action. Christ teaches us today that our word is binding.
