Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Use this 58-page unit study to help teach children that salvation is not based on material wealth. This lesson is based on Mark 10:17-27.
In this week’s Gospel, Jesus teaches us that Salvation requires obedience to the Commandments, and a undistracted focus on God not the accumulation of material wealth. Christ challenges a rich young man to follow him by ridding himself of his possessions and giving the profit to the poor. In this way, Jesus says, he will have treasure in heaven.
