In this week’s Gospel, we ponder our desire to imitate Christ. As James and John try to secure seats of glory next to Christ, the Lord reveals the impossibility of fulfilling their request. The greater among them must be willing to imitate Him in service, ministry, suffering, and death. Jesus reminds them of His true mission which is to suffer and die for the redemption of humanity. As followers of Christ, we too must desire and be willing to serve others for love of God.

This fun unit study is suited for a CCD or Religious Education class, and it may also be used for Sunday School programs or as homeschool materials.
