Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the Second Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Use this Liturgy of the Word unit study to help teach children that we must lead others to Christ. The worksheets and activities used in this lesson are based on the Gospel of St. John 1:35-42.
This Sunday, Christ gives an invitation to St. Andrew and a friend to "Come and See." Because we are Christians, we too are given the same call, but the Lord's invitation doesn’t stop there. As followers of Christ, we are also called to imitate St. Andrew and bring others to see Jesus as well. One way to draw people to the Lord is to be a joyful person. Joy is a gift of the Holy Spirit and even a mark of Heaven! God is the source of all goodness, and by showing joyfulness to those around us, we can beam the light of Christ to others.
