Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time.

Use this unit study to help teach children about generosity and faithfulness. This lesson is based on Mark 12:41-44.

In this week’s Gospel, Jesus observes people making offerings in the Temple. He notes that the rich give out of their excess wealth, but the poor widow gave her two coins out of her poverty. She gave all she had to God, and she did so with great faith and trust. The widow reminds us to trust in God at all times. As well, we should take stock in our blessings, and to be generous in sharing what the Lord gives us.

This fun unit study is suited for a CCD or Religious Education class. It may also be used for Sunday School programs or as homeschool materials.
