Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time.

Use this unit study to help teach children that God calls each of us to discipleship, and He hopes we will follow Him. This lesson is based on the Gospel of St. Mark 1:14-20.

This week focuses on Jesus' call to His first disciples to be fishers of men. His followers will learn the good news of the Gospel and use it to call others to Christ. We, too, must answer the same call to follow Jesus in our lives and lead others to Him. We can share Jesus’ teachings with others by being a living example of God’s love and goodness. When we act and behave in a way that follows God’s Laws and shows others we are happy to obey Christ, we can attract people to our Faith.
