Our Weekly Liturgy Lesson - 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle C) Can Help Kids to Understand the Gospel.
Use this Weekly Liturgy Lesson - 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle C) to help teach children that the Gospel teaches us about Jesus. The inspiration for this lesson is the Gospel of St. Luke 4:14-21.
In this week’s Gospel, Jesus reads from Scripture. In sharing the passage with His audience, Christ reveals that He is the Savior of which the Scripture speaks. The people are filled with uncertain amazement. Through this account, we should be mindful of how fortunate we are that we can deepen our relationship with Christ and knowledge of Him by reading the holy Gospel. Jesus has left us with His own words and teachings as well as the accounts of His life.
