Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the 4th Sunday of Advent.

Use this unit study to help teach children about finding the joy of being in the presence of Christ.  This lesson is based on Luke 1:39-45, the Visitation.

In this week’s Gospel, we witness the beautiful, joyful mystery of the Visitation. Baby John not only stirs to joy over hearing the voice of the Blessed Virgin Mary, but also because he is in the presence of his Lord. Encountering Jesus is a joyful event, and Christmas is the perfect time to share the joy of knowing Him with others. It is important to be able to find the joy of our faith in all situations.
