Our Weekly Liturgy Lesson - 4th Sunday in Advent (Cycle C) Can Help Kids to Understand the Gospel.
Use this Weekly Liturgy Lesson - 4th Sunday of Advent (Cycle C) to help teach children that being in the presence of Christ can make us joyful! The inspiration for this lesson is the Gospel of St. Luke 1:39-45 which focuses on the Visitation.
In this week’s Gospel, we witness the beautiful, joyful mystery of the Visitation. Baby John not only stirs to joy over hearing the voice of the Blessed Virgin Mary but also because he is in the presence of his Lord. Encountering Jesus is a joyful event, and Christmas is the perfect time to share the joy of knowing Him with others. It is important to be able to find the joy of our faith in all situations.
