That Weekly Liturgy Lesson - The Feast of the Baptism of the Lord (Cycle C) Can Help Kids to Understand the Gospel.
Use Weekly Liturgy Lesson - Feast of the Baptism of the Lord (Cycle C) to help teach children about the Baptism of the Lord, the First Luminous Mystery of the Holy Rosary. The theme of this lesson is Christians must imitate Jesus, and it is inspired by Luke 2:15-16, 21-22.
In this week’s Gospel, God the Father speaks to Jesus from Heaven saying that He is pleased with Him. Christ, who was sinless, allowed Himself to be baptized to give us the perfect example of obedience to God’s will. We must remember that Jesus is our role model, and our eyes should always be fixed on Him. As Christians, we mark ourselves as followers of Christ, and we are to be examples to others. It is a big responsibility to represent the Lord, and in doing so, we must have great humility and love.
