Focus on the Sunday Gospel for the First Sunday of Advent.

Use this unit study to help teach children that Advent is a time of waiting and preparation. This lesson is based on Christ's teaching in the Gospel of St. Matthew 25:31-46.

Waiting can be a tough thing to do. It demands that we be patient. Advent is a special time of waiting. For four weeks, Christians all over the world will wait and prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ. Jesus also reminds us that He will return to us at the end of time, and we should be ready for His Second Coming.
