Let Learners Create a Jesse Tree to Celebrate Advent or Salvation History.
This six-page file contains 28 titled pieces in this Salvation History account, which can be used during the season of Advent for a Jesse Tree or as a standard lesson throughout the year. If used during Advent, select specific pieces to match the number of days in the season for the particular year. Pieces are black-and-white and titled with events although additional blank pieces are provided. Each piece requires illustrations, which can be done as the lesson is being presented. A handy reference sheet is included giving the focus, symbol and scripture reference for each piece.
One set may be printed out and prepared or if desired, two sets may be printed, colored, cut out, and glued back to back to create Jesse Tree or Christmas Tree ornaments. Simply punch a hole in the top of the prepared piece and attach to a tree using purple yarn. Pieces may be applied to a hand-drawn tree or cut-out of a tree or affixed to a bulletin board in the shape of a tree.
Use as many pieces as necessary to meet your teaching needs or learning goals. This resource is suitable for a family project or CCD or Religious Ed. class use.
An illustrated version of this resource is also available.
