Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the rest of the That Weekly Liturgy Lessons for the 2017-2018 school year?

We are always creating new lessons as each liturgical year varies because of the calendar and moveable feasts. Lessons are written on an as needed basis to be able to match each Sunday during the school year. At the same time, this year we are re-editing and updating some of our very first lessons in the series to provide more content for teachers and a more detailed Teacher Guide in each weekly lesson packet. Most of the content and thematic images in each lesson will remain the same. However, additional graphics will add vibrancy, layouts will be simplified to provide continuity, and more extension activities will be available, including word wall pieces, posters, etc. Where possible, we have added black-and-white versions of some of the lesson pages and extension activities as well. On average, updated lessons will contain approximately twenty percent more content for our members.

How often do you post lessons to this page?

We post our Weekly Liturgy Lessons as soon as they are created or, in some cases, re-edited and updated. Our goal is to have the lessons for the particular year posted to this page at least one month in advance of its liturgical use date. Generally, we post one lesson per week.

Where can I find the rest of the available lessons in this series?

All available lessons in this series can be found on their corresponding Liturgical Cycle page. A slight variation in offerings may be noted due to movable feasts and the previous years’ liturgical calendar. Lessons are created as needed to be able to match the upcoming liturgical calendar.

Do you have lessons for the summer months of June through August?

Some have asked if we will be offering That weekly Liturgy Lesson series for year-round use. Currently, we offer lessons for the traditional school year of September through May. As many parishes take breaks from youth activities, Religious Education classes, and children’s ministry over the summer, we felt it best to begin by offering weekly materials for the school year first. We hope to eventually have lessons or at least activity packets available for the summer months in the future. We will be sure to let members know if or when these materials may be ready.
