The Jubilee Year of Mercy

“It is indeed my wish that the Jubilee be a living experience of the closeness of the Father, whose tenderness is almost tangible, so that the faith of every believer may be strengthened and thus testimony to it be ever more effective.” – Pope Francis

The Jubilee Year of Mercy is a special event that takes place from December 8, 2015 to November 20, 2016.  This beautiful  invitation welcomes all Catholics to experience and partake in the powerful love and mercy of God, especially through the reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist.

You can help make this special Jubilee year more meaningful for your students by encouraging them to learn about God’s loving mercy, forgiveness, the virtue of mercy, as well as the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist. You can use some of the resources provided below to help answer Pope Francis’ call to receive God’s merciful love as we strive to be merciful to one another.
